Caffè Cannizzaro was founded in 1960 by Agostino Cannizzaro in the northern Italian city of Piacenza in the Emilia-Romagna region. Born in southern Italy, he originally came from Cittanova in the Calabria region. In the 1980s, the company was taken over by the Giovinazzo family, whose hometown is Cittanova. Over time, the company headquarters was relocated from Piacenza to Cittanova. Today, Paolo Giovinazzo is the second generation to run the company—driven by the same passion for quality and taste that his father and the founder had when they carefully prepared and refined every espresso.

Caffè Cannizzaro was founded in Piacenza in 1960 and later moved its headquarters to Cittanova, where the company continues to operate today in a modern building. From there, it successfully manages branches both in Italy and abroad.

Over the years, Cannizzaro has made a name for itself by producing high-quality coffee blends for cafés. All blends are based on carefully selected Arabica and Robusta beans from some of the world's most renowned coffee-growing regions. These high standards for the quality of raw materials continue to shape the characteristic taste of Cannizzaro espressos to this day.

The southern Italian roaster stands for exceptionally high processing quality and combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. At the same time, the company is committed to continuous development: through constant innovation, existing coffee creations are continuously refined and new flavor profiles are developed. Both Arabica and Robusta beans are subject to strict selection processes and the highest quality standards – for espressos of outstanding quality.
